Senior Manager Departs AMP Advice Research Arm

, the financial planning and advisory arm of Australian wealth management firm AMP, is reshuffling its advise research division following the departure of a senior manager. In a statement, the firm announced that Jeff Poe, the manager of fund research in the AMP Advice Research team, has left to become a partner at Platinum Accounting, a local tax accounting firm. His role was key at AMP because he was responsible for operational and strategic oversight for dealer groups, including AMP Financial Planning, Hillross Financial Planning, Charter and Genesys. The company is currently looking for his replacement. AMP also said that it is seeking a replacement for Lucie McFarlane, head of product research, following her decision to move internally to become the head of product effectiveness. It is not yet clear when McFarlane is assuming her new post. The company clarified that the departures will not require a dramatic restructuring and that they are part of normal operations. In the first quarter of 2014, the company logged a 72 per cent rise in net cashflows from the previous year to A$363 million ($340 million).
